Nova
The Nova Jewellery box was inspired by the night sky.
Inside the Nova jewellery box there are three trays for accessories. The top tray has a steam bent walnut element creating the perfect round divider for bracelet or watch, with spaces for rings are earrings to the right.
Marquetry on the lid and inside of the box has detailing in fumed oak, dyed birch and birds eye maple.
Featuring hand cut dove tails, the Nova box was made from legacy Mahogany and Sapele that had previously been stored in a retired makers workshop for over 30 years.
If you are interested in commissioning a bespoke box, please note that I would use a different wood in future as there are issues with the ethics and sustainability of mahogany available on the market.
